Here are 10 links that I can't live without in preparing for lessons for my students or websites should keep when learning and using technology to learn.  Check each link according to the topic matter and get back to me to see if it is excellent or just so so.  If you have a great link for other students and myself, let us know.  I love collaborative learning.

 

1.  Science and interactive and evocative diagrams are common with the BBC News online science section. The link to this site is here.

 

2.  My favorite site for classical artists and modern artists and what they have to offer in terms of types of art, medium used, etc., can be found through Artsy's website.  It is posted here.

 

3.  I used this other site in a presentation for teaching online and this offers views into museum and collected works by many classic artists and by country and by time period. This can be a good introduction site to art history. Google decided to create an inexpensive way to share art history. You can find it here

 

4. The best English speaking news site for all news matters is the New Zealand Herald.  They cover issues and topics from an "island" perspective and are not boastful and don't include gossip.  Their site is found here.

 

5.  The other English online newspaper that tackles import subject matter and has amzing opinion writers and interviews is from English as is the Guardian.  Here is the link here.

 

6.  The net links have to have Google Drive.  I used to think that 'interactive' collaboration worked on Facebook or in a chatroom.  Sharing a document and working at the same time is amazing and with the Drive you can share videos and music as well. The link is here

 

7.  I love making a screencast and they can be 15 minutes long and makes for the best communication for teacher and student via an Online course.  This is the link for making a scripted cast if you are making a concise point about a presentation or a thesis.  Click here.

 

8.  I never though I would promote Twitter but connecting with other educators or students about 'educational equality,' or something you care deeply at.  Try to finds others typing and feeling the same thing.  Click here for Twitter and it 'educational equality page.'

 

9.  Making a quick video that could be about your feelings to others about a cause or finding friends who feel the same as you can be found here on Instragram.  Videos can be make on mobile phones and their hash marks make searching easy.

 

10.  I can 't forget YouTube and the instant access to publishing your thoughts to the world and to listening to important speeches from my hero Martin Luther King Jr., and you can listen to his ideas by clicking here.
